What is the MonaLisa Touch™ procedure?

MonaLisa Touch™ is a non-surgical, in-office procedure that does not requires anesthesia. This procedure is performed using a laser system, SmartXide, designed and manufactured by DEKA with exclusive technical features, making the treatment effective and safe. Through the use of a CO2 laser, controlled energy is delivered to the vaginal tissue. This energy is used to revitalize the cells in the vaginal mucosa (vaginal tissue) to help jump-start collagen production, an essential ingredient in vaginal cell health.

This innovative procedure is virtually painless and takes less than five minutes to perform. Some patients may experience some discomfort the first time the probe is inserted into the vaginal canal, but the treatment itself is not painful. Many patients reports that it feels like a gentle vibration. Patients will receive three separate treatments, spaced six weeks apart.

Patients should refrain from sexual activity for 2-3 days after the procedure. During the healing period it may be recommended to avoid lifting weights or some activities, such as a hot bath. A member of our team will go over post-procedure protocols to help guarantee a speedy recovery.

This 5 minute, in-office procedure is virtually painless, requires no anesthesia. Women report it is similar to getting a pap smear with a mild vibration in the vaginal canal.

Patients will receive three 5 minute in-office treatments that are spaced six weeks apart.
